BJJ is a self-defense martial art based on the floor and uses the principle of leverage to perform a takedown, an inversion, or a submission. Jiu-Jitsu is so effective that you don’t need to strike or hurt the person in order to control or immobilize them on the ground. This program is for men, women, teen boys and girls and it requires physical contact since you will practice with a partner. Learning BJJ also aids in weight loss, helps gain muscle strength, improve agility and flexibility, increase self-esteem, self-confidence, self-defense, relieves stress and creates friendship. We divide the students into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Different levels of classes can show all the fundamentals in the most ideal way possible. Beginners receive special attention with classes specifically designed for this phase. After this period (60 classes), the level increases with access to the intermediate classes and then soon after, the advanced. At this point, the student will already have a wealth of Jiu-Jitsu knowledge. We teach specific techniques according to their level, which prepares them for the next level and also to the next belt. Jiu-Jitsu training is based on a warm up, development of specific skills for Jiu-Jitsu, a position or take downs, drills, and rolling.

Our goal is to offer the community a sport that teaches people how to defend themselves, have fun, and get healthy. The academy has an atmosphere of companionship and fun that permeates through the discipline and respect that the Alliance method teaches our students.


The Kid’s program is a training program specifically using Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu theories. Training includes systematic exercises and maneuvers to improve a child’s mental and physical abilities. Our goal is to offer parents a sport where the discipline and excellence required by our instructors may often reflected positively in their child’s school experience. The training program will teach basic defensive and control skills, and is not intended for a competitive environment. The Kid’s program has several age groups so that students can feel comfortable learning with other students their own age. BJJ teaches kids self-control and respect, how to fight with honesty, be humble, recognize mistakes and successes, how to fall and get back up, maintain composure, and enjoy friendships. These traits help children learn how to let go of petty grievances and learn to pay attention to the things that will have an impact on their future success. With BJJ, students will also learn focus, self-development, self-defense, self-esteem, self-confidence and strength that complement the training with a practical and realistic dimension. In this program you will learn all the crucial elements of self-defense and practical fighting skills that will allow you to protect yourself, regardless of your opponent’s size or strength, and also to prepare for any real-world street fighting situations involving random attacks. These hostile situations will be continuously simulated during practice to increase your strength, your defensive skills and instincts. You will attack, defend and counter-attack from any distance and at any angle by disabling your opponent focusing on their weak points. This program is for men, women, adults and youth, beginner or advanced level, and it requires physical contact since you will practice with a partner. The classes are diverse and include a variety of training: warm up, functional exercises, to punch and kick bags and pads, defense and attack techniques, with weapons, knives and sticks, ground techniques, controlled sparring, and more. The goal of this program is to increase your knowledge, confidence, calmness and agility to defend yourself in a street attack situation.


High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, until too exhausted to continue. Though there is no universal HIIT session duration, these intense workouts, typically under 30 minutes, with times varying based on a participant’s current fitness level. HIIT exercise sessions generally consist of a warm up period, then several repetitions of high-intensity exercise separated by medium intensity exercise for recovery, then a cool-down period. The high-intensity exercise should be done at near maximum intensity. The medium exercise should be at about 50% intensity. The number of repetitions and length of each depends on the exercise. HIIT workouts provide improved athletic capacity and metabolic, endurance, muscle building and physical condition as well as facilitating weight loss. It can be practiced by anyone at any age since it uses one’s own body weight and functional, isometric and calisthenics exercises.
